Información

I am a Senior Researcher in Linguistics at the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra, where I am co-Principal Investigator of the "Bonds, creativity and culture" (Vínculos, creatividad y cultura-VCC) research group, and head of the Multimodal Pragmatics Lab (MuPra Lab). I am also a member of the Red Hen Lab, a distributed laboratory for research on multimodal communication.

My research currently focuses on phraseology, gesture, figurative language and conversational interaction from the perspective of Pragmatics, Cognitive Linguistics and Multimodality. Currently I lead MultiDeMe (PID2022-143052NB-I00), an international project on multimodal patterns for disagreement and mediation in face-to-face interaction funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and the AEI; and the Research Network CoCoMInt (RED2022-134123-T) on conflict talk and mediation, also supported by the Ministry of Science/AEI.
