Información

Antonio Vicente Casas Pedrosa is a member of the Department of English Studies at the University of Jaén (Spain). He holds a PhD in English Studies and lectures at this university. He has been involved both as teacher and supervisor in three master’s programmes related to TEFL where CLIL plays an essential role. Moreover, as a member of the GRETA (Association of English Teachers in Andalusia) board, he organized different teacher training sessions and conferences focusing on ELT, bilingualism, and CLIL. Dr. Casas has taken part in different research projects related to TEFL, the use of new technologies for language learning and teaching as well as the EHEA. His main research areas are both descriptive English linguistics (including English morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics) and CLIL. In fact, he is actively involved in a research team focusing on CLIL which has undertaken different projects funded not only by the above-mentioned institution, but also by the regional government (Junta de Andalucía), the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, and the European Union. In fact, he has recently co-authored two papers in Porta Linguarum and the International Journal of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, and a book chapter in Springer, all dealing with CLIL issues.
