Ruth Breeze is Full Professor of English at the University of Navarra, Spain, and combines teaching with research as Principal Investigator of the GradUN Research Group in the Instituto Cultura y Sociedad. She has published widely on professional discourse (particularly legal discourse), corpus linguistics, political discourse, and teaching methodology. Her most recent books are the co-edited volumes “Essential competencies for English-medium university teaching” (Springer, 2016), “Evaluation in Media Discourse: European Perspectives” (Peter Lang, 2017), “Power, Persuasion and Manipulation in Professional Discourse” (Peter Lang, 2017), “Imagining the peoples of Europe: Populist discourses across the political spectrum” (John Benjamins, 2019), and "Pandemic and Crisis Discourse: Communicating Covid-19 and Public Health Strategy" (2021). She is Co-Editor-in-Chief of Revista Ibérica, the journal of the European Association of Languages for Specific Purposes (AELFE).
