Tamara García-Vidal

Tamara García-Vidal is a Lecturer in the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics at the National Distance Education University (UNED), where she mainly teaches English Linguistics, Language Variation and Change, and the use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies) to teach foreign languages. Her main research interests include Historical Sociolinguistics, Corpus Linguistics and the History of the English Language. In 2022 she obtained the Extraordinary PhD Award 2020-2021 from the University of Murcia. She took her B.A. degree in English Studies in 2013 at the same institution, as well as a M.A in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics. She has also participated in numerous national and international conferences and published in leading journals such as Studia Anglica Posnaniensia, Folia Linguistica Historica, Journal of Historical Sociolinguistics and Peter Lang.
